For this week, my best bet is Troy (+21) at Ohio State. The system predicts an outright upset here. I wouldn’t go that far, but the Trojans have looked strong this season, and the Buckeyes will be dispirited after a crushing loss in Los Angeles. The Sun Belt is an improved conference, the trickle-down of lower scholarship numbers continues. Troy is its best team right now.
I’m 1-2 on best bets this season. Last week overall I was 34-10, 19-19-6 against the spread. That brings the system to 101-27 straight up and 61-60-7 against the spread.

My best bet for this week is Carolina (+3) at Minnesota.
I’m 2-0 on NFL best bets this season. Last week I was 10-5 straight up and 9-4-2 against the spread. My season totals are 18-13, and 16-13-2.

18|Sep|2008 1It can’t come up very often that a 21 point favorite is picked by any system to lose outright. I can’t even find a playable money line on that game.
