High Schools Included

You can recruit from nearly 14,000 public high schools in The College Years. Just about every mainstream public high school with more than 100 students is included in the game.

The game notes the location of every city, and calculates its distance to every college in the game.

Potential recruits will use that distance figure as a factor when determining their school choice.

Each school also receives a random rating at the beginning of a new game that helps determine each recruit's academic and athletic preparation for college.

Due to licensing concerns, private high schools were not included in the database. And some private colleges have been replaced by generic colleges in their area. You can't be too safe in today's overly litigious world.

Sorry, Notre Dame fans. It's just not worth doubling the price of the game and giving up all control over content just to stick a bunch of pretty logos in the game. So "South Bend" it is (and please feel free to use the team name editor).
