Front Office Football Eight was released in November 2016. The current vesion is 8.2a and includes the 2018 roster and coaching files. This game is exclusive to Steam.
The 8.2 update replaced the 2017 game files with 2018 files. It added intermediate screens to allow more fine-tuning of playbooks and game plans without having to design everything from scratch. It added a drag-and-drop interface to the primary game-planning screens. You can add up to a dozen new plays to your playbook each week during the season (note that you, or your commissioner, will have to simulate a full week before this function is available if you update to 8.2 in-season). There were a couple of very minor bug fixes. Finally, there are a couple of tweaks to the process of evaluating free agent signings. First, the game will be a little less forgiving about correcting rosters that don't meet guidelines and will try to sign only rookie free agents. And second, players will be much stricter about letting their agents talk them into assigning much value to back-loaded offers. None of the changes will affect saved games, but when you import a defensive game plan, you will have to add blitzing tendencies and save them back into the plan.
Version 8.2a attempts to fix issues related to high-resolution monitors, as well as problems when deleting from the playbook or offensive game plan.
You can visit the Front Office Football Eight Store for information about installing and purchasing the game. Steam handles all financial questions and installation questions.
The Steam version updates automatically to the most recent version. Updates will not affect your saved games.
Front Office Football Seven was released in December 2013. The current version is 7.2. The ViaTech version can be downloaded and purchased here: ViaTech Version 7.2 at any time. Installing the game gives you a free trial of up to three days. You can purchase a full license through the game interface.
If you already own ViaTech version 7.0 or 7.1, you can download 7.2 and install it free of charge. The installed license should be preserved when you install 7.2. The 7.2 update replaces the default rosters with 2015 rosters. It also replaces the coach file and the schedule.
Do not install the ViaTech version if you own the Steam version. It's the same game, but a different copy protection scheme.

The TCY 1.3 Update - CD Version is available for The College Years. DO NOT download the update if you have the downloadable version of the game, licensed from ViaTech.
For those of you who have the Downloadable version, and purchased it prior to the 1.3 release on September 14, 2004, you should download the Version 1.3 Download and reinstall the game. This will replace your existing version, and will not affect your license for the game. DO NOT download this version if you own the CD version of the game.
The download version and the CD version are completely incompatible products, though they contain the exact same function.
Updating the game does not prevent you from continuing careers, but since it contains the latest schedules and conference alignments, teams will end up playing schedules that don't fit in with the alignments from a career begun before the update, as they will not change conferences.
Earlier versions of Front Office Football are no longer supported. These games are no longer for sale.
