If you didn't select default team locations, the game will create teams, assign home cities, team colors and nicknames randomly.

Teams can come from three different geographic regions: the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. No other region is available in the game.

If the values in these fields add up to the number of teams in the league, the game will select exactly the designated number of teams from each region. If not, the game will use these values as weights and randomly choose a region. Because random numbers sometimes distribute in unusual ways, this might result in a higher percentage of teams in one region than you'd expect.
