The Hotfix was released on May 20, 2026

• A bug with the multi-threading surrounding the Playoff Odds Simulator was causing instability in the in-game scheduler if attempts were made to simulate games from that page. This was reported back in 2023, but never connected to the Playoff page, so long-standing attempts to recreate the issue failed. It has been recreated and fixed from this page, and hopefully that was the only path for schedule instability or skipped games.

• Language construction during the staff hiring phase was causing a grammar error during one stage.

• Teams could try to trade with themselves during the amateur draft. This was a cosmetic issue.

• On the team page, reversed the sort order for determining a team's rank in sacks allowed per game.

• We're still receiving the occasional report that saved games can't be loaded. We haven't been able to interact much in these cases (stray reports on a forum, that kind of thing), but when we have discussed this directly with customers, it seems to be related to a hard disk error or running out of space on a hard disk. Detecting free space is tricky given the massive size of saved games. I thought about removing the auto-save feature, as an attempt to auto-save that produces a hard disk error will create a metadata file that shows as corrupted during the load process. But many rely on that feature. So what I did is try and detect when a customer has less than 2G of free disk space on the drive where games are saved. When loading FOF, a box will pop up indicating there might be a problem saving games and recommending turning off auto-save and trying to create more free disk space. The game will continue at that point - it's just a warning box. Hopefully, this will address the issue for customers. If not, please contact customer support here.

Your installation of Front Office Football Nine will automatically update on its own. If you go into the Steam app's Library and right-click on the game and examine Properties, you can change the priority for Updates. There's a line at the bottom of this screen that tells you when your game was last updated.

You can also view the Credits screen in the League Menu within the game. This screen shows the game's version. The application information page will show this as version 9.2b.
